Bring your Bible and join Rev. David Goehring in a study of “Old Testament prophecies
that Jesus fulfilled.”

ADVENT with the GRINCH – Tuesdays at 7:15 p.m. via zoom; Nov. 30, Dec. 7, 14 & 21
This study is for busy working families! Take 40 minutes once a week to tune in together with Pastor Susanne and Dr. Mike (a big-time Dr. Seuss fan!) to explore the faith themes in the Christmas classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. We will watch a 10-minute video and have 30 minutes for discussion. Based on The Heart that Grew Three Sizes with video by the author Matt Rawle. Wesleyan Chapel Holiday Assistance Program

All gifts, Methodist Home for Children (pink slips) and CHAP Holiday Mart (blue and lavender) are due this Sunday, December 5th.  Gifts can be placed in one of the wooden mission bins marked Christmas gifts located in the sanctuary vestibule, in the hall by the back sanctuary door and in the fellowship hall by the door.
If you have not participated yet and would like to, you may still participate by purchasing a toy of your choice for the CHAP Holiday Mart, but we need it by this Sunday.


Gingerbread House Decorating Contest

How to join in the fun:

· Buy a Gingerbread kit.
· Create a masterpiece.
· Bring your gingerbread house to church Saturday, December 11 at 4-7pm or Sunday, December 12 before 9am to enter
· Prizes for categories: family   elementary     youth       adult

Judging takes place Sunday, December 12 after the 11am service.

We can’t wait to see everyone’s creations!

We are currently looking for volunteers and paid staff on Sunday mornings for our Nursery.  The nursery will be closed in December.

We are also looking for volunteers for Children’s Sunday School to rotate Sundays. In December, Sunday school will only be available to 4 year old and kindergarteners at 9:45 on Dec 5, 12, and 19.

Children’s Church is now closed on Sundays at 11:00 due to low attendance and volunteers.

Grace Circle

Grace Circle will be collecting items for UM Children’s Home for January distribution.  Items will be given to both boys and girls to age 18 years old.  The following items are appreciated: Socks, Underwear

The congregation is asked to contribute scarfs, gloves, and hats/toboggans for distribution to the Women’s Domestic Violence associations in both New Hanover County and Pender County.  Goal is to deliver these items for Christmas. 


Breakfast
Some Sundays 9:30-11am (see church calendar for dates)

We need volunteers in order to serve breakfast. Please consider helping out periodically. Two to three volunteers are still needed each Sunday breakfast is served from 8:30am until 11:30am. Please contact Michelle Pearsall at mitchpearsall@yahoo.com to sign up.
